The inks are characterized by the absence of an electrolyte and comprise at least one nigrosine dye and a poly (vinylpyrrolidone) resin. An organic solvent, e.g. an aliphatic alcohol, may be included. The ink can be used in a process for information recording comprising directing a jet of the ink onto a recording medium while modulating the density of the applied jet by an electric field in accordance with the information to be recorded. |
