PURPOSE:To enable the light source of the same specifications to be used even if the rated voltages of copying machines differ by controlling conduction angle to make electric power constant thereby enabling constant luminous flux and light emission effect to be obtained. CONSTITUTION:This is the method of controlling conduction angle so that the value of the formula V<2>(1-theta/pi+sin2theta/2pi) obtainable form the power source of an arbtrary supply voltage V volt and conduction angle (x-theta) radian becomes constant inrrespective of the magnitude of the supply voltage, wherein, for example, its electric control unit 24 may be connected to a power source 25 of either AC100V and AC200V as an AC power source 25 and according to the magnitude of its supply voltage the conduction angle is controlled, after which electric power is supplied to an exposure lamp 26 being a light source. |
