<p>Double-sided drawing system for yarn, films, strips, etc., having heated rolls, and a shaft fixed in the middle of the machine frame with two independently driver rolls situated at either side of the shaft fixing, and preferably heated by circulating a liquid therethrough. The double sided roll system gives a better force distribution and a stationary shaft is more easily fixed in the machine frame. The advantages of rolls supported at one end at start up are retained. The double roll assembly makes use of the roll heating system disclosed in the Applicant's co-published Patent No. 7113265 (36396T), namely the use of the lubricating medium as the heating liquid. The drives (22), (22'), (23) (23') for the rolls may be inside or outside the machine frame (14), or in an alternative construction the drive (22)(23) can be transmitted to each roll (1)(1') by means of a coupling (37)(37') between the drive member and each of the roll drive gears (20)(20').</p> |
