PURPOSE:To prepare a plasminogen-activation factor, in high yield, by treating cells derived from animals with a solution containing a large amount of saccharides and amino acids or peptides. CONSTITUTION:Cells originated from animals and capable of producing plasminogen-activation factor, e.g. kidney cells of rhesus monkey, are brought into contact with a solution containing 0.08-2.0 wt/v% of C derived from saccharides (e.g. glucose), 0.027-1.3 wt/v% of N derived from amino acids or peptides (e.g. amino acid mixture), and pref. 2x10<-3>-10<-2> M of Ca<2+> (e.g. CaCl2), wherein the weight ratio of N/C is 0.03-8.4, to obtain a plasminogen-activation factor. |
