Thermoplastic bags with supporting profiles for closing the bag mouth - for convenience of loading and to prevent casual access to the contents

The mouth of a flexible plastic bag is fitted with a pair of rigid strips each partly bonded to part of the lip of the bag and having complementary stud-and-hole profiles so that the bag mouth can be clamped completely shut by interlocking the strips together. An ancillary semi-rigid peg may be fitted for security reasons to ensure that a closed bag cannot be opened without breaking the peg. The strips also provide a convenient means of holding the bag mouth open when required. Pref. strips and bag are of fusibly compatible materials for convenience of assembly.
