<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate detection, by connecting two conductors between two points spaced apart by a predetermined distance from each other on the sheath of a high voltage transmission line and the earth while connecting current transformers for detecting the currents flowing through the conductors to judge the polarities of the detection outputs of both current transformers. CONSTITUTION:A pulse generator 10 is connected to one terminal of the phase conductor 2 of a transmission line 1 through a resistor 21 and the other terminal of the generator 10 is earthed. Two sheaths 4, 4A are provided to the line 1 through an insulating spacer 3 and earthed through conductors 13, 14. High frequency current transformers 11, 12 are connected to the conductors 13, 14 and the outputs of said current transformers 11, 12 are inputted to a trouble judge circuit 20. When the line 1 is normal, a current in a predetermined direction is generated by the mutual induction of the line of magnetic force due to the current flowing through the phase conductor 12 and the detection signals of the current transformers 11, 12 show mutually reverse polarities and, when there is abnormality, the detection signals become the same polarity because of discharge. Therefore, judgement can be made easy.</p> |
