摘要 <p>The beam has a greater rate of penetration through the medium to be defibrated than through the material from which the discs are made. Pref. the ray beam is transmitted by a radiation generator capable of transmission of a parallel beam, whose intensity corresp. to the spacing between the discs is received by a detector disposed at a diametrally opposite location relative to the generator. Both the generator and detector are placed externally of the discs. Used for defibrating goods at axial pressures reaching the order of up to 50 tonnes. Contacting of defibrating faces and consequent damage or wear are prevented.</p>
