A device for spreading fertiliser onto lawns etc. comprises a vessel in which the fertiliser (granulated, powdered or liquid) is placed with an outlet leading to the distributor. The vessel, when closed, is watertight and has an inlet duct for connection to a pressure water hose and a sieve upstream of the outlet duct to the distributor. Particular used for distributing powdered, liq. or other expensive fertilisers onto lawns, etc. where uniformity of distribution is of great importance and the fertiliser must be thoroughly washed into the turf. High uniform distribution is obtd. with relatively simple equipment.
