PURPOSE:To cause a magnetic pole to issue much magnetic flux even at a small current to improve a write efficiency by using the magnetic pole and magnetic head constitution parts near it to constitute a closed magnetic circuit. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic pole 3 is formed on nonmagnetic substrate 2 by evaporation, etc, and coil 5 is formed on magnetic pole 3 through insulating layer 4 by evaporation, etc., thereby forming head chip 1. this chip 1 has coil 5 face toward slider 8 and is caused to adhere to the tip of slider 8 consisting of a soft magnetic material by adhesive 9. Then, magnetic flux is isssued from the tip of magnetic pole 3 by flowing a current to coil 5 and passes through medium 7 vertically and is fed back to slider 8. Medium 7 is magnetized in the vertical direction by this magnetic flux, and informtion is recorded. Thus, even at a small current of coil 5, much magnetic flux is issued from magnetic pole 3 and passes through medium 7, so that a write efficiency can be improved. |
