Starting open=end spun yarn packages - by winding auxiliary package on core, removing it from core and inverting inside out to place yarn start outside of coils

Starting yarn packages are produced as described in the parent patent by removing the spun yarn from the collecting surface of open-end spinning rotor and windint it into an auxiliary package using a core which is subsequently removed. Following core removal the inwardly disposed yarn staring end is searched and then fed to the yarn package winding station. Improvement is that the auxiliary package is inverted such that the inwardly disposed layers including the yarn start are disposed radially outwardly and vice versa. Start of yarn is withdrawn without difficulties and with reduced resistance.
