PURPOSE:To avoid the double printing by providing the following means to the device: the means to detect the final print line of the bankbook accepted; the means to calculate the number of the printable lines; the means to confirm the page alignment, if necessary; and others. CONSTITUTION:First photo detector 37 consisting of light source 37a and photo detector 37b is provided at the start end part of front-step carrier path 26-1 of bankbook carrier path 26 forming the currency transaction device, thus detecting the front edge of the bankbook. The second photo detector 38 comprising light source 38a and photo detector 38b is installed at the middle part of path 26-1 in order to detect the rear edge of the bankbook. Furthermore, light source 39 is provided at the rear edge part of path 26-1 to irradiate the light to the date print column of the print line of the bankbook, and the reflected light from source 39 is put into photoelectric converter 41 composed of a number of solid state pickup elements via optical system 40. After this, the output is processed at analog process part 51 and then sent to print presence detection part 54 via level comparator 52. And in case the bankbook has the blank, the printing is given with designation at print position designation part 58. While if the bankbook has no blank, it is confirmed by the output of page rewriting memory part 62. |
