The pressure regulator for a device e.g. on a machine tool, has a bore in which slides piston (13). This is biassed by an adjustable spring (6) and is coupled by a pivoted lever (4) to an electric switch (5). When the piston is moved by the ring, pressure in the end (2) of the bore controls supply and discharge of fluid to and from a chamber (13) from an inlet (9) and to a vent (8) to maintain constant pressure at a control outlet (14). The electric switch can give a signal to indicate whether a desired pressure is present at the outlet (14).
