PURPOSE:To render operation of a mirror driving apparatus reliable and at the same time to make its structure compact, by employing an arrangement in which movement of a sliding member is restricted by a limiting member that is actuated by solenoid and a spring member is loaded on a screw rod adapted for driving saif sliding member. CONSTITUTION:A limiting member 13 is mounted on a base plate 2 constituting the case together with bracket 3, in the manner that it is freely pivotable around pin 14 and its arms 131a, 131b can be engaged with mating members 121, 122 if sliding member 10 which is fitted in support 9 when it is turned by the force of solenoid 15. Further, a spring member 19 is loaded on screw rod 17 adapted for driving the sliding member 10. With such an arrangement, when driving motor 21 is set into operation, screw rod 17 is turned via worm, in termediate gear 23, etc., and sliding member 10 is moved along longitudinal line (y) by actuating rod 16 while its movement toward lateral line (x) is being reatricted through the engagement between member 121 and arm 131a, whereby mirror 4 is turned vertically around holder 6. On the other hand, if member 13 is turned by solenoid to bring another arm 131b into engagement with member 122, sliding member 10 is moved along lateral line (x), whereby mirror 4 can be turned horizontally. |
