Clamping ring for roller bearings - has supporting shoulder and sealing lip for inside race

The holding spring ring is usesd for roller bearings and is fitted into a groove in the bore accommodating the bearing outside race and the ring rests axially against the outside race. These rings are readily fitted and stocked and a relatively narrow range of rings is used. The holding ring has a circumferential shoulder (17) on its outside circumference which is supported axially in a side wall of the groove (14). It has an integrally moulded elastic sealing lip (26) which slides on the end face of the bearing inside the race (20) so that this clamping ring acts also as a sealing ring. The outside region is elastically deformed on axial insertion of the ring into the bearing bore (10).
