PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new hydrazide derivative having an activity for inhibiting apo-related lipoprotein secretion, and useful as an agent for reducing cholesterol and triglyceride in the blood. SOLUTION: This hydrazine derivative is the one represented by general formula (I) (wherein, R1 to R9 are same or different and each H, a hydrocarbon or a heterocycle; A-ring is benzene or pyridine; B-ring is benzene or a heterocycle; and Z1 is a lower alkylene or the like), or a salt thereof. As a concrete example, (±)-2-[4-(7-fluoro-2,4-dimethylpyrido[1,2-a]indol-10-ylmethyl) phenyl]-3-methyl N'-phenylbutanohydrazide hydrochloride is cited.
