The body of a railway car is supported on a central bearing area of the truck bolster (7) via a resilient pad (23). The bolster (7) is provided with an upstanding post which is received in an aperture (34) of a centre filler (17) secured in a pocket (18) formed at the juncture of the car body centre sill (14) and car body bolster (15). The truck bolster (7) is formed with a central aperture (8) to accommodate a connection between steering arms secured to the truck wheelsets, thereby permitting a symmetrical steering arm layout as well as rod- under truck brake rigging. <IMAGE> |
