<p>Use of an oligoglycerin fatty acid ester obtained from an acid component, preferably a fatty acid compound (I), dicarboxylic acid, dimeric-, oligomeric- and/or hydroxy fatty acid; and a polyol component, which is oligoglycerin or alkoxylate of oligoglycerin, as a lubricant additive in oil based drilling fluids, is claimed. Use of an oligoglycerin fatty acid ester obtained from an acid component, preferably a fatty acid compound of formula (R-COOH) (I), dicarboxylic acid, dimeric-, oligomeric- and/or hydroxy fatty acid; and a polyol component, which is oligoglycerin or alkoxylate of oligoglycerin, as a lubricant additive in oil based drilling fluids, is claimed. R : 7-21C-alkyl or 7-21C-alkenyl. An independent claim is included for a process for improving the lubricating effect of the oil based drilling fluids, preferably invert-drilling fluids comprising adding 0.1-10 wt.% of oligoglyceride to the drilling fluids.</p> |
