The building panel, which may be flat or corrugatd, is designed to have the fireproofing and low-cast qualities of asbestos, without the latter's health hazards, and to provide possibility of bending. It has a stretched or perforated support mesh, with mineral wool or ceramic fibre applied to it in foamed form. Wire mesh or perforated sheet metal is suitable as base material.
