A mattress comprising a cushion, a ticking and means to attach the ticking to the cushion. The ticking may take the form of a bag which is at least partially made from an elastically deformable material such as a knitted fabric. The means for attaching the ticking to the cushion may comprise a pair of tapes, one of which is attached to the cushion and the other to the ticking. The cushion may comprise two or more layers of a foam material and a doming device may be inserted between two adjacent foam layers. The foam of the cushion may be provided with grooves on one or more of its faces. |
