Disclosed are an electrolyte solution for a lithium battery and a lithium battery using the electrolyte solution. The electrolyte solution for a lithium battery comprises: lithium salt; an organic solvent; a disulfone-based compound represented by chemical formula 1, wherein A_1 to A_4 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted alkylene group, carbonyl group, or sulfinyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, n1 to n4 are independently 1 to 3, and A_1 to A_4 are identical or different when they are independently plural in number; and a non-polar unsaturated group containing cyclic carbonate-based compound. Accordingly, the electrolyte is employed, and thus room-temperature and high-temperature life characteristics of the lithium battery can be improved. |
