The seat valve for water or oil and water emulsions has an upper chamber housing a spring between two flanges, the lower flange (13) resting against the stem (7a) of the valve member (7). The stem carries a disc portion with a face (7b) having a raised area (7c) which so lifted from the raised rim (3a) of a shaped ring (3) against the force of the spring to allow the liquid to pass upwards and sideways through the side outlet through a side part (6d). Below the disc portion is a bulbous head portion (7f) acting as a throttling member inside a chamber (20) in the lower part of the shaped ring (3). The cylindrical part forming the largest diameter of the bulbous head has a lower corner (7g) which is first lifted from a sharp corner (3g) of the ring forming the throttling opening.
