<p>The guidance system for the toy train for children's rides follows a flat metal tape (8) stuck to the floor and provided with lateral tags (10) to mark stopping places. The train follows a programmed memory inside the train or from a control centre. The central control can be linked to the train by infrared signals or similar non radio transmissions. The track is easily replaced and laid in any pattern, with any number of stopping places. No electric current is passed through the track. Infrared or microwave signals may be used for sensing the track.</p> |
