Combustion acceleration device for heater - has component of refractory material with central primary passage joined by secondary passages to outer faces

The combustion acceleration device is for a fuelled heater, having a component of refractory material (5). A primary passage extends through this component, and into it there lead a series of secondary passages (5j) from one or more of the component outer faces. The component is mounted close to the flame. When used in an oil stove the component can be at right angles to the burner and of truncated cone section, with the primary passage running axially through it from base to top. The secondary passages are situated in diametral planes and inclined to the axis of the primary passage.
