PURPOSE:To simplify the assembling work at the setting time of the rotary mechanism and then to reduce the number of the component parts for carrying out by unifying the reflector of the effective-area antenna and the box body of the radio transmitter/receiver via the rotary mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The portable radio device contains the transmitter/receiver and the effective-area antenna. In such radio device, rotary mechanism 7 is attached to the upper side surface of box body 5 to store transmitter/receiver 10, and reflector 6 is opened by mechanism 7. Reflector support post 9 is then provided to support reflector 6 opened by mechanism 6, and thus the electric wave radiated from 10 via primary radiator 2 is reflected at reflector 6 through dielectric window 8 and then radiated to path 11 of the electric wave. In another example of execution, post 9 is constituted with folding reflector support panel 12 to cut off the wave radiator 2 which leaks out to the back of reflector 6, and thus the wide-angle directional characteristics can be enhanced for the antenna. |
