<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to accurately detect the information of a flow without hurting a test body by applying a magnetic force to the fluid in the test body so that the high frequency signals may be transmitted thereto. CONSTITUTION:A test body 1 is arranged in a static magnetic field generated by a magnetic source 2. For instance, two high frequency coils 3 and 4, the spacing l inbetween being well known, are arranged on the skin of a human body along the vein 1a of an arm. If high frequency pulses of such frequency as is resonant with the nuclei in the fluid are impressed upon the upstream coil 3, magneticism is generated in spin system in the vicinity of the coil 3 and is transmitted, while being attenuated through a softening mechanism, to the coil 4 together with the blood flow, thereby to induce a high frequency power. In this instance, by establishing a magnetic gradient through a coil 5 in the static magnetic field, the softening time of the protons in the fluid is compensated. As a result, it is possible to obtain an accurate flow speed and its distribution.</p> |
