The blanke comprises a sheet of semi rigid material having a rectangular central zone (11) which forms the bottom of of the box. Side flaps (12, 13) form side walls of the box and each has one side which is common with the cental zone and it folds along this side, at fold lines (7, 8). At each end of the sides (12, 13) is a gusset (18-21) which is folded along a diagonal (22-25) extending from the corner of the central zone (11). The gussets connect the neighbouring sides (16, 17).
