The holding device is detachable from the positioning assembly to be replaced by a device suitable for the workpiece being welded. The positioner consists of column on base plate with holes for anchor bolts. The base plate is provided with support plate forming the bottom part of a double acting main cylinder surrounded by telescopic housing. The piston movement is operated by hydraulic fluid supplied through connection. The main cylinder is provided on its top end with a tapered stub which is fitted swingably on joint which connects rigidly to arm with its projecting part connected to piston rod of a double acting positioning cylinder. The holding device fits with a housing on the tapered stub. |
