Telecommunication cable consisting of pairs of polyethylene insulated conductors is provided with a device for indication of the moisture content in the cable, the device including a pair of testing conductors enclosed in a perforated polyamide insulation sleeve, which has a loss factor that stays constant up to approx. 75% RH and increases rapidly until saturation pt. Testing conductors permit monitoring moisture level on damage of cable at the level 100% RH.
