<p>PURPOSE:To make setting of the initial position of data block accurate by running tape backward until the subtraction contents of a tape position detecting counter become zero after detection of an error. CONSTITUTION:When an error is detected at the writing of data, an FF 13 is set by a backward read instruction input 3 and a running instruction input 1, by which the backward running of the tape is started. At the same time, clocks are generated from a clock circuit 16 and the clocks through an AND gate 4 which is opened by the input 3 causes a tape position counting counter 5 to make down counting. Until the count value thereof becomes zero, the output of the counter 5 does not invert and the AND gate 11 does not open. Hence, the FF 13 is not reset by the wrong non-recording region IBG detection input owing to flaws, etc. The FF 13 is reset at the region IBG detection through the data region, thus the stopping of the tape and clock generation of the circuit 16 are accomplished and the initial end of the data blocks is accurately set.</p> |
