The holder allows comfortable gripping of an unbound newspaper, having a chain bent into a loop at the middle, and held together by a ring at this end. A locking device is fitted over the chain ends. The device can slide on the chain ends, having in its sidewall a rotary lug by which it engages with them and turned by a knurled knob, while it screws into the opposite sidewall.
