<p>Continuously operating press used in mfr. of chipboards, fibreboards, laminates, has a bottom and a top struts and endless press-belts looping about the struts. Both struts have at the intake and discharge ends, diverting and drive drums, respectively, as well as pressure-medium chambers with sealing strips, for the adjacent press-belts which latter protrude laterally beyond the sealing strips. The charge to be press-moulded in the press-nip extends as far as the lateral sealing strips. In the free lateral press-nip there is, between the press-belts a support at each side of the press which enables a flexural torque exerted in the side region upon the press-belts to be absorbed. These supports are adjustable orthogonally w.r.t. the machine direction. The press-belts dont tend to be deformed near the sealing strips even when the moulding charge is of operationally unfavourable width.</p> |
