PURPOSE:To manufacture the tulip shaft of equal speed joint, etc., in a short time with lesser amounts of processing by forging crude product by using die of a shape fittable on the groove of a profile part and then by cutting off a desired portion. CONSTITUTION:The die insert 3 having the same shape as the sectional shape of the groove of tulip shaft is provided at equal intervals on the inside of the die of a cylindrical shape, and crude product having a part serving as the roller moving groove 10 is extruded and forged. The inside of the crude product 9 is cut to form the inside space 11 of a cup shape, and also the periphery and tip angled portion are cut into the tulip portion T of a fixed shape. At this time, the cup bottom 12 is made so as to fix its level at a position shallower than the bottom of the roller moving groove 10. Thus, it is possible to manufacture profile parts in a short time with lesser amounts of cutting. |
