Antifriction nylon bearings - contg. lubricant dispersed by a surfactant

Antifriction nylon members (esp. bearings) comprise 4-10 pts. wt. of a lubricant and 0.10.020 pts. wt. of a surfactant, the balance being nylon. The lubricant is uniformly dispersed throughout the nylon by the surfactant. The surfactant-dispersed lubricant provides self-lubricating properties without excessively reducing the mechanical strength of the nylon. The lubricant is pref. a mineral lubricating oil. The compsn. can also contain 5-10 pts. wt. tetrafluoroethylene, 0.75-1.00 pt. wt. graphite and/or 0.25-0.30 pt. wt. Li stearate.
