An exerciser for animals, for example racehorses, comprises a plurality of separately movable compartments within which the animals are able to move freely, each such compartment comprising two stationary sides 1a, 1b, formed as concentric circles of different radii, and two gates 15 disposed substantially at right angles to the said sides, spaced apart between the said sides and arranged to be moved with the same relative speed, characterised in that the said movable gates 15 hang down from arms 10 which are rotatably driven around the common centre of the said circles, the length of the said arms 10 from the centre corresponds substantially to the radius of the outer circle, and the extent of the said movable gates 15 in the longitudinal direction of the arms corresponds substantially to the difference between the radii of the circles. <IMAGE> |
