The device for sealing the bottom edge of a door relative to the floor is esp. applicable where the door opens across a carpet and has rising hinges so as to clear different floor levels. The door (10) incorporates a hollow space (11), open downwards, with a roller (17) inserted in it. This extends over the full door width, has a part below the roller axis (15) protruding from the hollow space, and is movably guided in a vertical direction. One side of the hollow, at least, may be bounded by a detachable screen.
