The holder for a double ended tubular electric light bulb consists of two contact holders on a base plate, parallel with each other, one of them with a slot extending inwards, in which one of the bulb caps is held. The other holder element (15) has a collar (19) which cannot rotate, in which the other bulb (10) cap (12) is inserted. The first cap (11) is pressed by a spring, pushing the bulb (10) and collar (19) towards the other holder element (15), providing a good contact between them.
