The system replays at a lower rate pictures stored on television video tape. The space on the tape used for storing a complete tv frame is used for storing several camera pictures having a lower number of picture points than a complete picture. Each inclined track on the tape is used to store several camera pictures. The storage space afforded by one tv picture line is used to store several complete camera lines.
