<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a structure from being brittlely fractured under the influence of low temperature of leaking LNG by letting cold gas flow in contact with a steel supportive structure coated with adiabatic material and protective films. CONSTITUTION:A strut 2 has an H-shaped common steel main strut 3 as its center, which is covered with seal steel plates 4, 5 from the bottom end to the top end. The outer surfaces of the main strut 3 and the seal steel plates 4, 5 are coated with adiabatic material 8. And the adiabatic coating is covered with protective films 9 of low-temperature-proof wavy thin plate. The outer surfaces of the protective films 9 are covered with fireproof coating material 10 to protect the main strut 3 from fire. In the main strut 3, where several vent holes are cut through and sufficient gas is circulated in space 6, 7, the air is supplied to the space 6, 7 from the bottom end of pipes 14 branching off in every main strut finally to be discharged into the atmosphere from an exhaust nozzle 16. This air supply is done automatically under the operation of a temperature detecting device.</p> |
