<p>The gymnastic apparatus is used in conjunction with a vaulting horse and comprises an outer fixed cylinder suspended over the horse by a cable. This outer cylinder contains an inner cylinder which is lined with a soft protective material. Both cylinders have one end closed and one end open. The closed ends have a ball bearing pivot, to permit rotation and the open ends have a ring bearing between them, acting as a sliding surface. The gymnast places his feet inside the inner cylinder, being held by an elasticated cord.</p> |
