The remote-controlled valve may be incorporated in piped fluid supply systems and utilises the pressure of the carried fluid to operate the valve mechanism. The mechanism is of the slide type and utilises a double headed (19, 20) piston. Pressure down stream of the sec. head (20) may be varied by a three-way two-position subsidiary electro-valve (12). The electro-valve (12) effects communication between the sec. head (20) and the inlet chamber or the atmosphere, thus, effecting opening and closure respectively. The unit has an inlet chamber (1) which projects co-axially into an outlet chamber (6) of greater dia.
