<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for noble metal catalysts, increase response resetting, provide high selectivity to alcohol gas at a relatively high temperature and further provide high stability by using the gamma-Fe2O3 containing specific amount of Bi as a sensitive body. CONSTITUTION:After the powder 0.1 to 20mol% of Bi compound, as converted in the form of Bi2O3, and 80 to 99.9mol% of Fe3O4 are mixed and disintegrated in wet type, the powder is dried and compression molded. The molding is sintered in N2 gas current, is thence cooled and is again slowly heated and is kept heated in an oxidative atmosphere, whereby the gas sensitive body 1 composed of the bulk form sintered body mainly composed of gamma-Fe2O3 is obtained. Pairing comb type electrodes 2 are provided on the main surface thereof and platinum heating elements 4 by way of inorganic adhesive agents 3 on the opposite surface. Lead wires 5, 6 are connected respectively to the electrodes 2 and heating elements 4.</p> |
