<p>The tubular separator is attached to the end-shields by a leak proof joint, e.g. a soldered joint. End-shields, complete with bearing assemblies, rotor and tube form a unit which is fitted into the stator as a complete assembly. The stator is typically of the cast resin housing form. using the preassembled rotor unit the need to incorporate specially cast-in locations when making the stator is eliminated, thereby simplifying construction and production. Similar soldered joints may be used for attaching the bearing housings to the end-shields.</p> |
