PURPOSE:To enable continuous separation of magnetic particles by providing one treating tank of tanks connected in magnetic field and cleaning another tank out of magnetic field while separating the particles from stock water. CONSTITUTION:This separator is movably supported on electromagnetic coils and yokes 10, 11, and guide rails 14, 15, and consists of treating tanks 12a, 12b integrally connected. When an electric current is flown through the coils 10 and stock water is supplied to the tank 12b in the state that the tanks 12a, 12b are located at the positions A, B, magnetized particles suspended in the stock water are attracted to filler 23 in the tank 12b in the magnetic field. When predetermined magnetic separation is finished,the tanks 12a, 12b are moved to the positions B, C, repsectively by a drive unit 16. The tank 12b is moved out of the magnetic field to erase the attracting force of the filler 23. Then, the magnetized particles residued in the filler 23 are washed by the ejected water from a pipe 18 to be then automatically discharged from an opening 28. |
