The hermetic junction is for a pneumatic conveyor transporting goods in containers, and comprises a length of pipe hinging on the conveyor tube at one end to connect with one of several other tubes. The containers are guided through the hinge by two components sliding at right angles to the incoming tube, and fitting alternately in the gap formed at one or the other side of the hinge between the tube and the pipe so as to cover it. The component ends are cut off to give a smooth passage through the hinge.
