The device has two flaps hinged together about a fold line. The flaps are of a relatively rigid material such as cardboard or synthetic material. The four side edges of the two flaps remote from the fold line serve as a location and a guide for a closed band (8) which encloses the flaps and displayed object. At the fold line each flap has an opening in the form of a crook, the openings being symmetrical about the fold line and forming a hook whereby the device can be suspended.
