VERFAHREN ZUR HERSTELLUNG VON 3-CHLORPROPIONSAEUREDERIVATEN

摘要

Prodn. of propane cpds. of formula (I) is described; (where n is 0; X is -NH2 and W is =O; or n is 1, X is =NH2+ and W is -OR, R being alkyl). Acrylonitrile or 3-chloro-propionitrile is reacted with HCl or ROH in the presence of an organic solvent with a dielectric constant is not >2.6 at 0-60 degrees C to give (I; n = 1) (i.e. Cl-CH2-CH2-C(OR)=NH2+ Cl-) and this (opt. after isolation and purification) is opt. subjected to thermolysis to form (I; n = 0) (i.e. Cl-CH2CH2-CONH2) and an alkyl chloride R-Cl. (I; n = 0) 3-chloropropionamide) is an intermediate for pharmaceuticals. Alkyl chlorides are also useful as intermediates. Yields are high ((I; n = 1) can be obtd. in 93.7% yield and can be converted into (I; n = 0) in 97% yield) and purity is good ((I; n = 0) can be obtd. in 95-98% purity after washing with benzene).
