The variable resistor has a bush flange and at least one case frame in whose centre opening a spring support is placed. The support is rotatable by an operating shaft and provided with a contact spring. A supporting plate is mounted on the back side of the frame. The resistive track and the collecting track are formed on this plate. The contact spring provides the connection between the two tracks. One of the case frames (24) has a tray shaped front side in which a rotor (23) with a stop segment is rotatably mounted. The rotor has a locating rim (25) for spring loaded (20) locating elements (22) on its other side.
