The invention relates to a cell for a storage battery of the molten salt kind using a mixture of molten sodium fluoride, potassium fluoride and lithium fluoride. The cell includes an anode compartment 12 comprising an electric conductor 18 and a molten medium 20, one of the aforementioned two components being a metal chosen from the group comprising magnesium, aluminium, alkali metals and mixtures thereof.
