PURPOSE:To correct the memory error in a simple, quick and inexpensive way and at the same time to early restart a system in order to improve the system working ratio by writing again the corresponding part of a program into an address where the memory error occurred. CONSTITUTION:When a memory error is detected by a parity check part 4, the execution of a program is temporarily stopped by an error processing part 6 to decide whether the address of a main memory 2 having the memory error belongs to or not to the code part of a program that is never rewritten during its execution. If so, the corresponding part of the program is written again into the address where the memory error occurred. Then the execution of the program is restarted. Thus it is possible to correct the memory error in a simple, quick and inexpensive way and also to early restart a system. As a result, the system working ratio is improved. |
