The digital level meter and indicator for a fluid container has an instrument head (3) with a viewing window (2), an instrument arm (1), a float (5) and a magnetic coupling (6). It is designed for high reliability, high precision continuous level indication and to enable remote control and remote indication. The flexible antimagnetic measurement strip (8) passes over a guide (9) and has a coupling wt. (7) and counter wt. (10) at its ends.
